Had very nice Japanese suite and a Japanese-Western suite with hot-bath. Very friendly stuff. Perfect location since very close to temples.

We were extremely satisfied with all aspects concerning our stay. One suggestion is to add shuttle services to the train station in the afternoon.

Good location for sights of Nikko. Food was good but dinner service was very poor. Other services were good.

This hotel is both practical and very pleasant. Located just across the main shrine, it also is steps away from a bus stop to/from the train station and Chuzenji Lake (take the All-Nikko pass). The japanese-style room was nice with a view on the river as was the onsen. Diner was excellent although we felt a bit rushed. Breakfast is Japanese style only (no Western option) which suited us fine. We would recommend this hotel to both expats and international travelers.

Excellent Ryokan, and one of the best stays I've had in Japan. Nice, tidy and attractive hotel, impeccable service and I loved our room with an en-suite terrace bath. The food was very traditional Japanese and an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

A great ryokan for my last night in Japan. The room was very nice with a picturesque view of the river and mountains. Only the sound of the river can be heard at night. Very good service and food. The people at the front desk speak good english. The food is served in private rooms in their restaurant. The best part though is their onsen. It is on the top floor and has both an indoor bath and a smaller outdoor bath on a balcony. Its a fifteen minute walk from JR Nikko station though.

Our stay at Kozuchi no Yado Tsurukame Daikichi was wonderful. It is ideally located close the the shrines and steps away from a bus stop that will take you up to Kegon Falls/hiking. We had 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners during our stay and they were all delicious and provided a variety of dishes. We were especially grateful that the hotel accommodated our need to depart before the traditional breakfast time and served us early. The staff was professional and made us feel very welcome. We opted for the room with a private bath which was wonderful. Overall a great experience!

Great modern ryokan, off the beaten track of foreigners travel guides, with excellent service. Rooms are nice and even if the diner is not served in the room the diner area is really cosy. People are nice and are able to speak English if your skills in Japanese are inexistant. Baths are located on the top floor and are also really enjoyable.
